New version 2.0

In this new version I added a lot of things and I've improved many others; among the new features these are worth mentioning:

Navigation

beside the arrow and the map I added the ability to navigate to your destination via the Google's navigator.
Copy and paste
If in an email or a website you find some coordinates you can now copy and paste them directly into the application.
Protocol geo
The application is now compatible with the geo protocol that is used in websites. When in a site you find a link like this just click it to open with the application.
Protocol geoSMS
This is a relative new protocol and not all phones are able to decode a text message of this type, but the application is already able to do it. If you receive a geoSMS you can easily open it with the application even if your phone does not support it
SMS Tracker
I have added support to decode SMS messages sent from an alarm system (Tracker) as requested by a user.

New version (1.2.8)

In this new version I added the menu item "Position on Map" with which you can do two things:

  •      know exactly where you are
  •      mark geographic points to reach

I also added to the map a scale indicator in the form of a ruler in order to get a rough idea of distances.

Bug correction

I just put in the market a new version of the application that fixes a serious bug that occurred on a few devices: when the user pressed the button "find" the application crashed with no apparent reason.

This was probably the reason why someone put the following negative review: "dsnt wrk"

Thanks to a very kind user who contacted me via email and later sent the error log I was able to solve the problem within a few minutes. Thanks Tino.

I invite you all to do the same, if you experience any problem or have a good idea tell me and I'll try to meet your needs.

Credits

I have already described briefly what they are and how they work, but I want to repeat myself because it seems that the concept has not yet been understood.

The application is free and all of its functions can be accessed without paying anything. The access is immediate if you have credits, while you have to wait 15 seconds if you do not have. That's it.

When you install the app you start with 5000 credits and every time you access a localization function an amount between 5 to 50 credits is subtracted. Registration will cost 1000 credits, but is not mandatory.

With these values, the application can be used for several months before you run out of credits.

Credit management is automatic and the user does not have to do anything. You realize that you are out of credits when you see a 15 seconds wait screen before you
access a localization function. At that point you can decide whether it is better to wait or invest a little time to get some free credits.

Each credit you get for free means for me a fraction of a penny earned ($0.0002). This is the only way you have to support the development of the application because unlike many other programmers I did not put any advertising.

I know that there are many people who prefer to buy the application. For them I'm already at work, I'll put the new version online before the end of the year.

How to use the application

I recently received the following two stars review:

I do not understand ... to be more specific step by step ...

If he paid a little attention instead of rushing to write negative reviews he would have noticed that in the main menu there is a button labeled "User Manual" which when pressed magically shows the user manual with the description step by step that he needed.

To the left of each button there is also a small blue icon that when pressed shows a small contextual help.

Here you can find the complete manual.

Introduction

Since with Google Play it is not possible to have a two-way contact with the programmer, and it seems that just a few use the email preferring instead to communicate only through negative comments, I open this blog in the hope that those who are truly interested in the app can contribute to its improvement.

Any questions, concerns or constructive criticism is welcome and, as far as possible, and will try to meet your requests.

The application I'm talking about is GPS, find me!, if you did not yet install do it as soon as possible :)
